Failures we could not fix
If you buy from PlayStation Network, use something else. It declined consistently. Crunchyroll was fine on retry.
What to change before you retry
- PlayStation Network: 0 of 12 cleared. Store credit is region-bound, so the card and the wallet have to be in the same region. Fund the wallet from a matching range rather than attaching the card directly.
- Crunchyroll: 3 of 10 cleared. Billing runs monthly in USD from the account's store region. Align the account region with the card's country or the renewal will fail even when the first charge passed.
Three things worth doing
- Set the billing address to exactly what EverTry generates for Africa. Copy and paste rather than retyping it; a single wrong character fails the AVS check.
- Bank transfer is the cheap funding route here, but it is not instant. Top up a day before a renewal rather than the same morning.
- This is an anonymous-account product. There is no meaningful account recovery, so export the card details and the billing address the moment you create them.
