Apple Pay Card Number & Apple Cash
The number you see in Apple Pay is a device account number tied to that phone, not the long number on your plastic. Apple Cash is a separate balance you can spend with Apple Pay.

Why the Apple Pay number is different
When you add a card to Apple Pay, the issuer sends a device account number that is stored in the Secure Element. Merchants see that number, not your real card number, which is why "see card number on Apple Pay" returns something different from your statement.
Where the number lives
Open the Wallet app, tap the card, then the info button (ⓘ) in the corner. The device account number, expiry and security code used for online and in-app purchases are listed there. On a Mac with Touch ID the same details sit in Wallet settings.
How to view the full card number
For cards where the issuer allows it, Apple shows the full device account number inside the card info screen. Not every bank reveals the full number - some show only the last four digits plus expiry. If the full number is hidden, that is the issuer choice, not a setting you can flip.
On Apple Card
Apple Card shows its full virtual number in the Wallet app under the card info; you can also copy it for use on a website. The titanium Apple Card has a different number printed on it, and the unseen virtual number is what most online checkouts use.
Apple Cash: what it is and what expires
Apple Cash is a balance you can send, receive and spend with Apple Pay. It can expire if left unused for a long stretch - Apple notifies you before that happens, and a small receive or send resets the clock. You cannot "see a card number" for Apple Cash the way you do for a bank card; it rides on the Apple Cash card in Wallet.
Funding and limits
You can add money to Apple Cash from a debit card, and in some regions from a credit card at a fee. Sending Apple Cash to someone uses the balance first, then your linked card.
Privacy and hiding transactions
Apple Pay transactions are private to you; the card issuer still sees them. If you want to keep a purchase out of a shared bank statement, use a separate virtual card from a provider we track rather than Apple Pay on a joint account. Apple does not offer a per-transaction hide switch inside Wallet.
