How to Get a Virtual Card
You do not "generate" a virtual card. You open an account with an issuer, pass verification, fund it, and the card is issued in-app - often within minutes.
Apply through the issuer own app or site, not a third-party instant-card broker. Copy the billing address it generates into checkout so the AVS check matches.
Step by step
Pick an issuer whose ranges cleared the merchants you use, sign up, verify your ID, fund the account, and the virtual card is issued inside the app.
1. Choose an issuer
Start from a provider whose ranges we have logged against your merchants, not a brand you saw advertised. The country guides rank issuers on fees and clear rate.
2. Verify (KYC)
Every issuer we track requires some verification. The lightest ask for ID only (Revolut and Ucards among them); none skip KYC entirely. "Instant approval" means fast KYC, not no KYC.
3. Fund and issue
Load funds and the card is created in-app. Instant issue is the norm - in Canada every issuer we tested issues within minutes of KYC, and the same holds for India.
Country notes
In the UK, 10 issuers offer UK-issued ranges; the lightest (Revolut, Ucards) ask for ID only, and you apply through the issuer app, then copy the generated billing address for AVS. In Canada and India, instant in-app issue after ID verification is standard. See each country guide for the ranked, tested list.
Mistakes that cause declines
Using a third-party broker instead of the issuer, retyping the billing address instead of copying it, and ignoring the in-app OTP. The address the issuer generates must match exactly or the AVS check fails.
Frequently asked
How do I apply for a virtual card?
Open an account with a named issuer through its own app or site, pass KYC, fund it, and the card is issued in-app. Avoid third-party instant-card brokers.
Can I get a virtual card without KYC?
No. Every issuer we track requires some verification; the lightest ask for ID only. "No KYC" offers are not real, funded cards.
How fast is instant issue?
Usually minutes after KYC, inside the issuer app. It is the standard for Canada and India issuers we tested, and common in the UK.

How VCCFinder tests
VCCFinder buys cards at retail and charges them on live checkouts, then publishes the clear rate and decline reasons next to each range. This guide is reference material, not a test log; the 456 ranges we track inform the provider and category pages linked above.
