PayPal Virtual Card
PayPal lets some accounts generate a virtual card number (historically PayPal Key) and issues a PayPal Debit Card you can add to a wallet. Availability depends on your region and account status.
Check the Wallet or Cards section of your PayPal account for a virtual number or the PayPal Debit Card. If PayPal Key is not offered in your region, use the debit card added to a wallet for the same mask-the-real-card effect.
What PayPal offers
In regions where it is available, PayPal Key generated a virtual card number linked to your PayPal balance or linked card, usable anywhere cards are taken online. The PayPal Debit Card is a real card you can add to Apple Pay or Google Pay and tap or shop online.
Where it shows up
Open PayPal, go to Wallet, then Cards or the debit card section. If virtual numbers are offered in your region, the option appears there. Not every country has PayPal Key, and PayPal has wound it down in some markets in favour of the debit card.
