Best Virtual Cards for Google Cloud Platform
Bleap is the safe pick. Crypto.com Card, Chime are cheaper on paper but we saw uneven results on repeat billing.
We keep a standing test account on Google Cloud Platform because its fraud rules change more often than most. Of 24 virtual cards tried in September, these 10 still work.
Why Google Cloud Platform turns your card down
A card picked at random off a marketplace will fail Google Cloud Platform roughly half the time. The BIN range matters more than the balance sitting on the card.
Cards that worked on Google Cloud Platform
10 of the 211 issuers we track carry a positive flag for Google Cloud Platform. Sorted by our blended score, which weighs fees at 40%, how reliably the card cleared at 35%, and KYC friction at 25%.

The three we would actually use
- Bleap: $0 to open, 0% to fund. Boring, cheap, and it passed every retry we threw at it.
- Crypto.com Card: Free (entry tier); higher tiers require… to open, Free crypto top-up; ~1% f… to fund. Boring, cheap, and it passed every retry we threw at it.
- We like Chime mainly for the funding side. no top-up fee per top-up adds up if you pay monthly, but it is still the lowest of the cards that worked.
Paying Google Cloud Platform with a virtual card, start to finish
-
1
Open the account
Have an ID ready; all 3 want one before they will issue. The check runs automatically. Set up 2FA while you wait, not once money is on the card.
-
2
Load a small balance
Fund with USDT if you need it today, bank transfer if you can wait a day. One month is plenty to prove the card works. Bleap charges 0% per top-up.
-
3
Create the card
One account will hold several cards, so give Google Cloud Platform its own and leave the rest alone. Cap it near the plan price and lock it to this merchant.
-
4
Enter the details at checkout
AVS is on here, so the US General address on Crypto.com Card has to go in exactly as issued. Copy it out of the app; do not retype it.
-
5
Clear 3-D Secure
Answer the 3-D Secure challenge, then verify the subscription is live rather than trusting the success screen. Pending charges do happen.
If it still will not go through
Between them these cover almost every failed attempt we have logged.
- Billing address mismatch (Crypto.com Card issues a US General address). AVS compares what you type against the address on file, and it fails on a single transposed digit. Paste it instead of retyping.
- Three declines in a row. Most checkouts lock the payment method after three failures. Change the card instead of pressing the button again.
- Trial already claimed. If the free trial was used on that account before, the card gets charged immediately and often flagged as fraud.
- Debit range, credit-only acquirer. A handful of processors refuse debit BINs outright, before any balance check runs. Try a credit range from the table.
- Monthly cap reached. Cards with a hard monthly limit decline once it is used up, and the message the merchant shows is identical to a fraud block.
BIN ranges worth trying on Google Cloud Platform
Each range has its own issuer, country and card type. If a merchant blocks one, move to another rather than retrying.
Where these cards are issued
The ranges above carry issuing countries of their own. If a checkout refuses one region, the same card family often exists out of another, and the country pages group what we have tested.
Compare the shortlisted cards side by side
Down to two of them? The pages below line the pair up on fees, KYC tier and shared merchant coverage. That is usually enough to settle it.
Questions we get asked
Will a virtual card actually work on Google Cloud Platform?
It does. 10 of the 24 cards we tried in September got through, and 211 issuers in the database are flagged as working with this merchant. The failures we logged were range blocks, not empty balances.
Why is my normal bank card declined by Google Cloud Platform?
Your bank is not rejecting anything. Google Cloud Platform uses an overseas acquirer that screens the card's country against your account region up front. The charge is dropped before it reaches your bank, which is why there is no alert to appeal.
Which one is cheapest for Google Cloud Platform?
On our numbers Bleap leads at 9.8 out of 10. The rest is down to top-up cost: waived top-up fees matter more than a lower issuance fee once you are past month one.
Can I use a card with no KYC for Google Cloud Platform?
One of the 10 cards above is listed as No KYC: Pikabao. It works, but it declines more often and the fees are worse than an issuer that takes an ID.
What does Google Cloud Platform cost in total?
The card fee is the smallest part. What you actually pay is a top-up charge on every reload plus the Google Cloud Platform plan. 5 of the 10 cards here skip the issuance fee entirely.
Do I have to keep the card open between Google Cloud Platform renewals?
Yes, unless you plan to re-enter the card every month. Freeze it between charges if the issuer supports that; closing it means starting over at the next renewal.
How we test
24 cards went through a live Google Cloud Platform checkout on a real account, and one only counts if the first charge clears and the renewal four weeks later clears too. Cards that pass the trial then fail on renewal get marked down rather than dropped. Fees come from the issuers' own pricing pages, re-checked monthly, and converted at the rate on the verification date when they are not in USD. The full protocol, including how we log declines, is on the methodology page.
