Getting Netflix to Accept a Virtual Card

What we would pick

Cheapest way in is Chime, Genome, Bleap. That is also the order we would try them in.

Most people land here after three or four failed attempts on Netflix. We ran 28 cards so you do not have to repeat the experiment yourself.

Why Netflix turns your card down

Netflix tightened its card checks through 2025 and again this year. Cards that worked for people two years ago frequently do not work now.

Both fixes are on your side of the transaction: match the card's country to the region your Netflix account is registered in, and paste the issuer's billing address without editing it.

Cards that worked on Netflix

10 of the 100 issuers we track carry a positive flag for Netflix. Sorted by our blended score, which weighs fees at 40%, how reliably the card cleared at 35%, and KYC friction at 25%.

The three we would actually use

Paying Netflix with a virtual card, start to finish

  1. 1

    Open the account

All 3 ask for an ID before the first card exists. The check is automated and usually clears in minutes. Turn on 2FA before you fund anything.

  2. 2

    Load a small balance

USDT and bank transfer both work. Crypto lands in minutes; a transfer is cheaper but can sit overnight. Load one month first.

  3. 3

    Create the card

You can spin up more than one card here, which is worth doing: Netflix gets its own, everything else stays off it. Set the limit just above the plan price.

    Enter the details at checkout

There is an address check. Chime issues a US General address. Paste that one, because AVS fails on a single wrong character.

Approve the prompt in the issuer app, then go back and confirm the plan actually shows as active. A subscription can look paid and still be sitting in pending for an hour.

BIN ranges worth trying on Netflix

Each range has its own issuer, country and card type. If a merchant blocks one, move to another rather than retrying.

Where these cards are issued

The ranges above carry issuing countries of their own. If a checkout refuses one region, the same card family often exists out of another, and the country pages group what we have tested.

If two cards on this page look close, open the matchup below. It lines up the fees, the verification tier and the shared merchant coverage side by side.

Questions we get asked

Will a virtual card actually work on Netflix?

Yes. Of the 28 cards we put at it in September, 10 cleared. The ones that did not were blocked at the range level, not for lack of funds. 100 issuers we track carry a positive flag here.

Why is my normal bank card declined by Netflix?

Your bank is not rejecting anything. Netflix uses an overseas acquirer that screens the card's country against your account region up front. The charge is dropped before it reaches your bank, which is why there is no alert to appeal.

Which one is cheapest for Netflix?

Chime scores highest here at 9.8/10. Past that, the funding route decides it, because a card with free top-ups beats a cheaper signup fee the moment you reload twice.

Can I use a card with no KYC for Netflix?

Every card on this page asks for something. Chime, Ramp, Cash App stop at an ID, with no address documents, which is usually enough for a subscription.

What does Netflix cost in total?

The card fee is the smallest part. What you actually pay is a top-up charge on every reload plus the Netflix plan. 7 of the 10 cards here skip the issuance fee entirely.

Do I have to keep the card open between Netflix renewals?

Yes, unless you plan to re-enter the card every month. Freeze it between charges if the issuer supports that; closing it means starting over at the next renewal.

How we test

28 cards went through a live Netflix checkout on a real account, and one only counts if the first charge clears and the renewal four weeks later clears too. Cards that pass the trial then fail on renewal get marked down rather than dropped. Fees come from the issuers' own pricing pages, re-checked monthly, and converted at the rate on the verification date when they are not in USD. The full protocol, including how we log declines, is on the methodology page.
