Paying for Roblox With a Virtual Card: What Actually Passes
Bleap is the safe pick. Starling Bank, Wallester are cheaper on paper but we saw uneven results on repeat billing.
Our September pass on Roblox covered 29 virtual cards. 10 of them survived the billing-address check and the 3-D Secure prompt. The rest did not.
Why Roblox turns your card down
The decline is a BIN mismatch. Roblox bills through an overseas acquirer, and that acquirer compares three things: the country your card was issued in, the billing address on file, and the country your account is registered in. Two out of three is not enough.
Cards that worked on Roblox
10 of the 211 issuers we track carry a positive flag for Roblox. Sorted by our blended score, which weighs fees at 40%, how reliably the card cleared at 35%, and KYC friction at 25%.

The three we would actually use
- Bleap scored 9.8/10. Nothing about it is remarkable except that it kept working when others stopped.
- Starling Bank is not the cheapest on the list, but it was the most consistent across three separate test runs. That counts for more than a dollar of savings.
- Wallester scored 9.0/10. Nothing about it is remarkable except that it kept working when others stopped.
Paying Roblox with a virtual card, start to finish
-
1
Open the account
All 3 ask for an ID before the first card exists. The check is automated and usually clears in minutes. Turn on 2FA before you fund anything.
-
2
Load a small balance
Two ways in: crypto, which is instant, or a bank transfer, which is cheaper and slower. Start with a single month and see it clear. Bleap charges 0% per top-up.
-
3
Create the card
You can spin up more than one card here, which is worth doing: Roblox gets its own, everything else stays off it. Set the limit just above the plan price.
-
4
Enter the details at checkout
AVS is on here, so the UK General address on Starling Bank has to go in exactly as issued. Copy it out of the app; do not retype it.
-
5
Clear 3-D Secure
The OTP lands in the issuer app. Approve it, then check the account, because a charge can sit in pending after the bank has already said yes.
If it still will not go through
Between them these cover almost every failed attempt we have logged.
- Billing address mismatch (Starling Bank issues a UK General address). AVS compares what you type against the address on file, and it fails on a single transposed digit. Paste it instead of retyping.
- Merchant switched acquirer. When a platform changes processor, ranges that cleared last month start failing with nothing changed on your side. Re-run the card before assuming it is dead.
- Spend limit too tight. If the cap sits below the plan price plus the conversion spread, the authorisation comes back as insufficient rather than blocked.
- Card left frozen from the last test. Issuers sometimes freeze a card after unusual activity and never tell you. Check the app before blaming the merchant.
- Virtual BIN blocked. Some acquirers maintain a blocklist of well-known virtual ranges. Switching issuer usually clears it.
BIN ranges worth trying on Roblox
Each range has its own issuer, country and card type. If a merchant blocks one, move to another rather than retrying.
Where these cards are issued
The ranges above carry issuing countries of their own. If a checkout refuses one region, the same card family often exists out of another, and the country pages group what we have tested.

Questions we get asked
Will a virtual card actually work on Roblox?
Yes. Of the 29 cards we put at it in September, 10 cleared. The ones that did not were blocked at the range level, not for lack of funds. 211 issuers we track carry a positive flag here.
Why is my normal bank card declined by Roblox?
It comes down to where the card was issued. Roblox bills through an overseas acquirer, and that acquirer compares the card's country with your account region before the charge ever reaches your bank. It is a region rule, not a credit decision, which is why you never get a fraud alert.
Which one is cheapest for Roblox?
Bleap comes out on top at 9.8 out of 10. After that it depends on how you fund the card. A free top-up beats a cheaper signup fee the moment you keep it running past the first month.
Can I use a card with no KYC for Roblox?
One of the 10 cards above is listed as No KYC: Paycek. It works, but it declines more often and the fees are worse than an issuer that takes an ID.
What does Roblox cost in total?
Three things add up: the one-off card fee, a top-up fee each time you fund, and the Roblox plan itself. On this page 8 of the 10 cards cost nothing to create. Spend limits and freezing are free everywhere.
Do I have to keep the card open between Roblox renewals?
It is easier to leave it open, or frozen, than to close it. Closing cannot be undone, and a lapsed renewal is usually more hassle than the card sitting idle.
How we test
29 cards went through a live Roblox checkout on a real account, and one only counts if the first charge clears and the renewal four weeks later clears too. Cards that pass the trial then fail on renewal get marked down rather than dropped. Fees come from the issuers' own pricing pages, re-checked monthly, and converted at the rate on the verification date when they are not in USD. The full protocol, including how we log declines, is on the methodology page.
