The three we would actually use
- Bleap: $0 to open, 0% to fund. Boring, cheap, and it passed every retry we threw at it.
- Starling Bank is the cheapest route we found: Free to issue, no top-up fee on funding, and it cleared on the first attempt.
- Chime: Free to open, no top-up fee to fund. Boring, cheap, and it passed every retry we threw at it.
Paying Zoom Pro (Meetings) with a virtual card, start to finish
-
1
Open the account
Every card here wants an ID up front. It is an automated check and rarely takes more than a few minutes. Do 2FA before the first deposit, not after.
-
2
Load a small balance
Two ways in: crypto, which is instant, or a bank transfer, which is cheaper and slower. Start with a single month and see it clear. Bleap charges 0% per top-up.
-
3
Create the card
You can spin up more than one card here, which is worth doing: Zoom Pro (Meetings) gets its own, everything else stays off it. Set the limit just above the plan price.
-
4
Enter the details at checkout
AVS is on here, so the UK General address on Starling Bank has to go in exactly as issued. Copy it out of the app; do not retype it.
-
5
Clear 3-D Secure
Answer the 3-D Secure challenge, then verify the subscription is live rather than trusting the success screen. Pending charges do happen.
If it still will not go through
Between them these cover almost every failed attempt we have logged.
- Billing address mismatch (Starling Bank issues a UK General address). AVS compares what you type against the address on file, and it fails on a single transposed digit. Paste it instead of retyping.
- Debit range, credit-only acquirer. A handful of processors refuse debit BINs outright, before any balance check runs. Try a credit range from the table.
- Monthly cap reached. Cards with a hard monthly limit decline once it is used up, and the message the merchant shows is identical to a fraud block.
- Merchant switched acquirer. When a platform changes processor, ranges that cleared last month start failing with nothing changed on your side. Re-run the card before assuming it is dead.
- Spend limit too tight. If the cap sits below the plan price plus the conversion spread, the authorisation comes back as insufficient rather than blocked.
BIN ranges worth trying on Zoom Pro (Meetings)
Each range has its own issuer, country and card type. If a merchant blocks one, move to another rather than retrying.
Where these cards are issued
Issuing country matters as much as the brand here. Where one region is refused, another is often accepted, so these pages group what we have tested by where the card was issued.
Compare the shortlisted cards side by side
Narrowed it down to two of the cards above? These head-to-head pages put their issuance fee, top-up fee, KYC tier and the merchants we test into one table, so the call is easier to make.
Questions we get asked
Will a virtual card actually work on Zoom Pro (Meetings)?
Yes. Of the 21 cards we put at it in September, 10 cleared. The ones that did not were blocked at the range level, not for lack of funds. 253 issuers we track carry a positive flag here.
Why is my normal bank card declined by Zoom Pro (Meetings)?
Your bank is not rejecting anything. Zoom Pro (Meetings) uses an overseas acquirer that screens the card's country against your account region up front. The charge is dropped before it reaches your bank, which is why there is no alert to appeal.
Which one is cheapest for Zoom Pro (Meetings)?
On our numbers Bleap leads at 9.8 out of 10. The rest is down to top-up cost: waived top-up fees matter more than a lower issuance fee once you are past month one.
Can I use a card with no KYC for Zoom Pro (Meetings)?
One of the 10 cards above is listed as No KYC: Pikabao. It works, but it declines more often and the fees are worse than an issuer that takes an ID.
What does Zoom Pro (Meetings) cost in total?
The card fee is the smallest part. What you actually pay is a top-up charge on every reload plus the Zoom Pro (Meetings) plan. 6 of the 10 cards here skip the issuance fee entirely.
Do I have to keep the card open between Zoom Pro (Meetings) renewals?
Yes, unless you plan to re-enter the card every month. Freeze it between charges if the issuer supports that; closing it means starting over at the next renewal.
How we test
21 cards went through a live Zoom Pro (Meetings) checkout on a real account, and one only counts if the first charge clears and the renewal four weeks later clears too. Cards that pass the trial then fail on renewal get marked down rather than dropped. Fees come from the issuers' own pricing pages, re-checked monthly, and converted at the rate on the verification date when they are not in USD. The full protocol, including how we log declines, is on the methodology page.
