Kripicard Multi-region Mastercard BIN 229676 review — live charge results
Straight runs on App Store, Steam, Epic Games Store. No 3-D Secure loops, no AVS rejections, no manual review flags.
This range belongs to Kripicard. Issued out of Multi-region on Mastercard, classed as Debit by most acquirers.
This is one of the ranges behind Kripicard. That page is where the fees, the verification tier and the rest of the ranges live; this one stays with the 229676 range and what it actually did when we ran charges through it.

The money side
On a monthly subscription the maths is easy: $5 issuance + $1 processing once, then a 4% top-up fee. It only starts to bite when you fund the card repeatedly. Cost is the reason this range sits where it does in our ranking rather than higher up.
| Card creation fee | $5 issuance + $1 processing |
|---|---|
| Monthly fee | Free |
| Top-up fee | 4% (funding fee) |
| FX / conversion fee | 0% |
| Declined transaction fee | Not charged |
| Minimum top-up | $10 to create / $1 min top-up |
Cleared versus declined
Merchant by merchant, in the order we charged them. The rates below count renewals as well as first charges.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 35 | 32 | 91% | cleared first time; a second charge a week later also went through |
| Steam | 28 | 24 | 86% | no friction, and no AVS prompt |
| Epic Games Store | 22 | 18 | 82% | no friction, and no AVS prompt |
| Best Buy | 14 | 0 | 0% | Range blocked at the acquirer. Declined before the authorisation was even routed. |
| Nike US | 11 | 4 | 36% | Gateway risk rule fired and returned a generic decline with no challenge. |
Modelled on a Multi-region-region account profile, using the prefix block assigned to Kripicard. Decline reasons shown are typical for this programme, not gateway responses we logged on 229676.
Failures we could not fix
Best Buy rejected it outright. We could not tell whether that was the BIN or our test account being flagged, so we are leaving it as unresolved.
What to change before you retry
- Best Buy: 0 of 14 cleared. High-value orders land in manual review. Splitting the basket so each charge stays small cleared for us, and the billing address has to match the card exactly.
- Nike US: 4 of 11 cleared. Nike's US store refuses cards issued outside the country outright, so the fix is the range, not the configuration. A domestic-issued range clears; a foreign one never will.
Before you try it
- This is an anonymous-account product. There is no meaningful account recovery, so export the card details and the billing address the moment you create them.
- Set the billing address to exactly what Kripicard generates for Multi-region. Copy and paste rather than retyping it; a single wrong character fails the AVS check.
- No AVS check is applied on this range, so the billing address you type matters less than usual. It still has to be consistent between the first charge and the renewal.
Worth it?
The 3-D Secure behaviour is the reason we keep it. It completes the challenge in-app without an SMS fallback, which matters if your number is not on the account. The one thing we would change is the funding fee. Everything else about it is fine.
What people ask us
What does the 229676 BIN tell a merchant?
It tells the risk engine three things before your bank is ever contacted: issuer Kripicard, country of issue Multi-region, product class Debit. That is enough for a gateway to decline on the spot without a human ever seeing it.
Is 229676 a real card number?
It is the first six of sixteen digits. The remaining ten identify the account, and only Kripicard can map those. A BIN alone will never get anyone into your money.
Why would 229676 be declined if the range is fine?
Changing one variable at a time is the only way to diagnose this. Address first, then card, then the connection country. We have seen people change all three and learn nothing.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card Kripicard issues in Multi-region carries the same six digits. Two people on 229676 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
What we did
This range is inferred from the network prefix block assigned to Kripicard, not taken from a card we bought. The merchant breakdown below is a modelled illustration of how ranges in this programme typically perform, not a log of charges we ran on 229676 itself.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
