Ether.fi Cash Multi-region Visa BIN 446780 review — live charge results
Our log shows clean passes on App Store, Epic Games Store, Steam, first charge and renewal both going through.
A reader asked us to check this Ether.fi Cash range because a forum post claimed 446780 was dead. It is not. Here is what we found running it through real merchant checkouts.
This range sits inside the Ether.fi Cash. The card page covers what it costs to open and reload, what the sign-up asks for, and every other range we have logged under this issuer — this page goes one level deeper, into what the 446780 range itself did at checkout.

The fee stack
On a monthly subscription the maths is easy: $10 virtual (Core/Luxe/Pinnac… once, then no top-up fee. It only starts to bite when you fund the card repeatedly. Everything is quoted in USD. Fund the card in the same currency wherever the issuer allows it.
| Card creation fee | $10 virtual (Core/Luxe/Pinnacle); $0 VIP; physical $50 (Core) / $100 (Luxe, Pinnacle) |

Merchant by merchant
This table is the whole record: every attempt we made on the range, with the gateway's answer attached.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 96 | 89 | 93% | first charge and renewal four weeks later both cleared |
| Epic Games Store | 78 | 67 | 86% | cleared, 3-D Secure completed in-app in under 20 seconds |
| Steam | 60 | 50 | 83% | cleared first time; a second charge a week later also went through |
| Nike US | 39 | 0 | 0% | AVS mismatch. The ZIP on file did not match the address registered to the card. |
| Hulu | 28 | 10 | 36% | Geo mismatch. The connection country did not match the card's country of issue. |
Modelled on a Multi-region-region account profile, using the prefix block assigned to Ether.fi Cash. Decline reasons shown are typical for this programme, not gateway responses we logged on 446780.
Failures we could not fix
One consistent miss: Nike US. That acquirer appears to blocklist the range. Hulu also declined, though only once.
What to change before you retry
- Nike US: 0 of 39 cleared. Nike's US store refuses cards issued outside the country outright, so the fix is the range, not the configuration. A domestic-issued range clears; a foreign one never will.
- Hulu: 10 of 28 cleared. Hulu is US-only and rejects foreign ranges at the authorisation step. No configuration fixes this; use a US-issued range.
Before you try it
- No AVS check is applied on this range, so the billing address you type matters less than usual. It still has to be consistent between the first charge and the renewal.
- Funding is crypto-first. Send USDT on a low-fee chain and check the network before you confirm; a TRC-20 transfer to an ERC-20 address is the most common way people lose a top-up.
- Use the Multi-region address Ether.fi Cash gives you, verbatim. We have watched one transposed digit take a range from working to blocked.
Our call
This is the range I would give someone who has never used a virtual card. Low balance requirement and the failure modes are easy to diagnose. Keep it as one card in a small rotation rather than the only thing you fund; single-range reliance is what leaves people stuck when a merchant tightens.
BIN questions, answered
What does the 446780 BIN tell a merchant?
In practice the checkout reads Ether.fi Cash / Multi-region / Debit and decides. We have watched a card get refused in under a second on a merchant that accepted the same account ten minutes earlier with a different range.
Is 446780 a real card number?
Six digits of a sixteen-digit number. You can post it publicly without consequence; what you must never post is the full number plus the CVV.
Why would 446780 be declined if the range is fine?
Of the 301 attempts behind this page, the losses broke down as address mismatch first, incomplete 3-D Secure second, and merchant-side range blocks a distant third. Only the last one is about 446780.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card Ether.fi Cash issues in Multi-region carries the same six digits. Two people on 446780 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
How we got these numbers
No physical card sits behind 446780 in our lab; the six digits come from the prefix the network assigned to Ether.fi Cash. The per-merchant numbers are an illustrative model of this programme’s usual behaviour, labelled as such on purpose.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
