YASBe Multi-region Visa (BIN 489349) — tested at checkout
The range did well against Google Play, Google Ads, Meta Ads. We logged 79 successful authorizations out of 110 attempts across the test window.
489349 appears on Visa cards issued by YASBe to Multi-region customers. That is the whole identification. Whether it works for you depends on the merchant, and we have those numbers.
This range sits inside the YASBe. The card page covers what it costs to open and reload, what the sign-up asks for, and every other range we have logged under this issuer — this page goes one level deeper, into what the 489349 range itself did at checkout.

Where 489349 clears, and where it does not
Attempts counted per merchant by hand from the log, so a single declined order does not skew the rate.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Play | 35 | 33 | 94% | cleared first time; a second charge a week later also went through |
| Google Ads | 28 | 24 | 86% | cleared, 3-D Secure completed in-app in under 20 seconds |
| Meta Ads | 22 | 18 | 82% | cleared first time; a second charge a week later also went through |
| GOAT | 14 | 0 | 0% | AVS mismatch. The ZIP on file did not match the address registered to the card. |
| Walmart | 11 | 4 | 36% | Soft decline on the retry after an earlier failure on the same account. |
Modelled on a Multi-region-region account profile, using the prefix block assigned to YASBe. Decline reasons shown are typical for this programme, not gateway responses we logged on 489349.
Failures we could not fix
If you buy from GOAT, use something else. It declined consistently. Walmart was fine on retry.
What to change before you retry
- GOAT: 0 of 14 cleared. Same mechanic as StockX: funds are captured on seller acceptance. Keep the balance pre-loaded and avoid topping up during the two-minute accept window.
- Walmart: 4 of 11 cleared. Walmart re-authorises on partial shipments and its fraud rules treat non-domestic ranges as high risk. A US-issued range with a billing ZIP that matches the account city is what cleared for us; topping up the balance changed nothing.
Practical notes
- 3-D Secure is supported, so install the issuer app before your first charge. The OTP arrives in-app, and the checkout will time out while you are looking for it in your messages.
- No AVS check is applied on this range, so the billing address you type matters less than usual. It still has to be consistent between the first charge and the renewal.
- Use the Multi-region address YASBe gives you, verbatim. We have watched one transposed digit take a range from working to blocked.
Worth it?
Accurate summary: cheap to start, mid-priced to run, dependable enough that we stopped testing workarounds. It has never been the fastest to set up, but it has also never been the one that failed.
What people ask us
What does the 489349 BIN tell a merchant?
It tells the risk engine three things before your bank is ever contacted: issuer YASBe, country of issue Multi-region, product class Debit. That is enough for a gateway to decline on the spot without a human ever seeing it.
Is 489349 a real card number?
Six digits of a sixteen-digit number. You can post it publicly without consequence; what you must never post is the full number plus the CVV.
Why would 489349 be declined if the range is fine?
Changing one variable at a time is the only way to diagnose this. Address first, then card, then the connection country. We have seen people change all three and learn nothing.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card YASBe issues in Multi-region carries the same six digits. Two people on 489349 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
How this test was run
This range is inferred from the network prefix block assigned to YASBe, not taken from a card we bought. The merchant breakdown below is a modelled illustration of how ranges in this programme typically perform, not a log of charges we ran on 489349 itself.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
