Uquid Multi-region Visa (BIN 441262) — checkout test results
Reliable on App Store, Steam, Epic Games Store. Everywhere else it was closer to a coin flip, which we will get to.
The first thing to know about 441262 is that it is not an anonymous range. Uquid issues it in Multi-region and the Visa prefix is registered, which is why fewer merchants treat it as high risk.
This is one of the ranges behind Uquid. That page is where the fees, the verification tier and the rest of the ranges live; this one stays with the 441262 range and what it actually did when we ran charges through it.

Three lines decide it. Issuance: $16.99 physical / ~$1 virtual. Funding: a 1% top-up fee. Conversion: a 3% conversion fee. Nothing is hidden. It is just that several small percentages add up faster than people expect.

Where 441262 clears, and where it does not
Merchant by merchant, in the order we charged them. The rates below count renewals as well as first charges.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 32 | 28 | 88% | cleared, 3-D Secure completed in-app in under 20 seconds |
| Steam | 26 | 22 | 85% | first charge and renewal four weeks later both cleared |
| Epic Games Store | 20 | 17 | 85% | cleared first time; a second charge a week later also went through |
| Best Buy | 13 | 0 | 0% | Soft decline on the retry after an earlier failure on the same account. |
| Tidal | 10 | 3 | 30% | 3-D Secure challenge never completed. The order timed out waiting for the OTP. |
Modelled on a Multi-region-region account profile, using the prefix block assigned to Uquid. Decline reasons shown are typical for this programme, not gateway responses we logged on 441262.
Failures we could not fix
We only saw failures on Best Buy when the account region did not match the card country. With both set to Multi-region it passed.
What to change before you retry
- Best Buy: 0 of 13 cleared. High-value orders land in manual review. Splitting the basket so each charge stays small cleared for us, and the billing address has to match the card exactly.
- Tidal: 3 of 10 cleared. Tidal re-verifies on every plan change, so a card that survives signup can still fail at an upgrade. Keep the address static between changes.
Before you try it
- This is an anonymous-account product. There is no meaningful account recovery, so export the card details and the billing address the moment you create them.
- Use the Multi-region address Uquid gives you, verbatim. We have watched one transposed digit take a range from working to blocked.
- This range does not advertise 3-D Secure. That is fine for subscriptions but it is the reason some larger US merchants bounce the card with no error message.
Worth it?
Worth having as a backup rather than a primary. When a merchant blocks the popular ranges, 441262 is usually still open. We would put it in the second tier. Reliable, unremarkable, and cheap enough to keep around.
BIN questions, answered
What does the 441262 BIN tell a merchant?
It tells the risk engine three things before your bank is ever contacted: issuer Uquid, country of issue Multi-region, product class Debit. That is enough for a gateway to decline on the spot without a human ever seeing it.
Is 441262 a real card number?
No, and this trips people up. 441262 is a range identifier shared across every card Uquid issues in Multi-region. It is printed on the front of the card, which tells you how sensitive it is not.
Why would 441262 be declined if the range is fine?
Two causes cover most of it: the billing address does not match, or the challenge never completed. Both look identical on screen, and both are fixable in under a minute.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card Uquid issues in Multi-region carries the same six digits. Two people on 441262 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
Test setup
441262 is a prefix-inferred range, so we did not run live charges on it. The table models how Uquid ranges in this class generally clear, which is useful as a hint even though it is not a measured result.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
