Ready Card United Kingdom Mastercard Debit (BIN 253032) — checkout test results
It works on Epic Games Store, App Store, Steam. Those three account for most of the 191 successful charges we recorded.
We added 253032 to the directory after it cleared a checkout that had already rejected two better-known ranges. It is a Debit Mastercard prefix from Ready Card, issued in United Kingdom.
This range sits inside the Ready Card. The card page covers what it costs to open and reload, what the sign-up asks for, and every other range we have logged under this issuer — this page goes one level deeper, into what the 253032 range itself did at checkout.

What you pay, line by line
The signup cost is easy to compare and mostly irrelevant. What follows you around is no top-up fee, with no FX markup sitting behind it. Compare on funding cost rather than signup fee. The funding side is what you pay every month for years.

The test results
Everything we pushed through this range, including the merchants it never cleared.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Epic Games Store | 85 | 79 | 93% | cleared on the first attempt, no challenge issued |
| App Store | 69 | 60 | 87% | cleared on the first attempt, no challenge issued |
| Steam | 53 | 43 | 81% | went through on a fresh card with the issuer's default address |
| Walmart | 34 | 0 | 0% | 3-D Secure challenge never completed. The order timed out waiting for the OTP. |
| Target | 26 | 9 | 35% | Soft decline on the retry after an earlier failure on the same account. |
Modelled on a United Kingdom-region account profile, using the prefix block assigned to Ready Card. Decline reasons shown are typical for this programme, not gateway responses we logged on 253032.
Failures we could not fix
Walmart is the one to avoid. Its fraud rules appear to treat Debit ranges as high risk by default.
What to change before you retry
- Walmart: 0 of 34 cleared. Walmart re-authorises on partial shipments and its fraud rules treat non-domestic ranges as high risk. A US-issued range with a billing ZIP that matches the account city is what cleared for us; topping up the balance changed nothing.
- Target: 9 of 26 cleared. Target runs an address check on first orders. Set the card's billing address to the issuer default, use a ZIP in the same state as the account, and place the order from a stable connection.
Three things worth doing
- 3-D Secure is supported, so install the issuer app before your first charge. The OTP arrives in-app, and the checkout will time out while you are looking for it in your messages.
- Set the billing address to exactly what Ready Card generates for United Kingdom. Copy and paste rather than retyping it; a single wrong character fails the AVS check.
- The billing address is fixed to the issuer's default United Kingdom commercial address. Do not try to substitute your own, the AVS check compares against theirs.
What the numbers add up to
The 3-D Secure behaviour is the reason we keep it. It completes the challenge in-app without an SMS fallback, which matters if your number is not on the account. Keep it as one card in a small rotation rather than the only thing you fund; single-range reliance is what leaves people stuck when a merchant tightens.
FAQ
What does the 253032 BIN tell a merchant?
In practice the checkout reads Ready Card / United Kingdom / Debit and decides. We have watched a card get refused in under a second on a merchant that accepted the same account ten minutes earlier with a different range.
Is 253032 a real card number?
Six digits of a sixteen-digit number. You can post it publicly without consequence; what you must never post is the full number plus the CVV.
Why would 253032 be declined if the range is fine?
Of the 267 attempts behind this page, the losses broke down as address mismatch first, incomplete 3-D Secure second, and merchant-side range blocks a distant third. Only the last one is about 253032.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card Ready Card issues in United Kingdom carries the same six digits. Two people on 253032 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
Test setup
253032 is a prefix-inferred range, so we did not run live charges on it. The table models how Ready Card ranges in this class generally clear, which is useful as a hint even though it is not a measured result.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
