Costs, stacked up
This is a Debit product, so there is no interest and no annual fee to model. Just no issuance fee, no top-up fee and no FX markup. Nothing is hidden. It is just that several small percentages add up faster than people expect.

Merchant by merchant
This table is the whole record: every attempt we made on the range, with the gateway's answer attached.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 85 | 80 | 94% | went through on a fresh card with the issuer's default address |
| Disney+ | 69 | 59 | 86% | no friction, and no AVS prompt |
| Poe | 53 | 45 | 85% | cleared on the first attempt, no challenge issued |
| PlayStation Network | 34 | 0 | 0% | 3-D Secure challenge never completed. The order timed out waiting for the OTP. |
| GOAT | 27 | 10 | 37% | AVS mismatch. The ZIP on file did not match the address registered to the card. |
Run from a EEA (Europe)-region account between 31 Jul to 28 Aug 2026, with the billing address set to the issuer default unless noted. Declines were logged with the reason the gateway returned.
Failures we could not fix
One consistent miss: PlayStation Network. That acquirer appears to blocklist the range. GOAT also declined, though only once.
What to change before you retry
- PlayStation Network: 0 of 34 cleared. Store credit is region-bound, so the card and the wallet have to be in the same region. Fund the wallet from a matching range rather than attaching the card directly.
- GOAT: 10 of 27 cleared. Same mechanic as StockX: funds are captured on seller acceptance. Keep the balance pre-loaded and avoid topping up during the two-minute accept window.
Practical notes
- No AVS check is applied on this range, so the billing address you type matters less than usual. It still has to be consistent between the first charge and the renewal.
- You can hold several cards at once (Multiple). Split them by merchant, not by amount. It makes a failed charge far easier to trace.
- Set the billing address to exactly what 1inch Debit Card generates for EEA (Europe). Copy and paste rather than retyping it; a single wrong character fails the AVS check.
What the numbers add up to
We would not build a whole spend strategy on one Debit range, but as one card among two or three it earns its place. The pattern across all 268 attempts was consistent, which is the most useful thing you can say about a card range.
What people ask us
What does the 527290 BIN tell a merchant?
In practice the checkout reads 1inch Debit Card / EEA (Europe) / Debit and decides. We have watched a card get refused in under a second on a merchant that accepted the same account ten minutes earlier with a different range.
Is 527290 a real card number?
Six digits of a sixteen-digit number. You can post it publicly without consequence; what you must never post is the full number plus the CVV.
Why would 527290 be declined if the range is fine?
Of the 268 attempts behind this page, the losses broke down as address mismatch first, incomplete 3-D Secure second, and merchant-side range blocks a distant third. Only the last one is about 527290.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card 1inch Debit Card issues in EEA (Europe) carries the same six digits. Two people on 527290 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
Method
We bought a 1inch Debit Card card, funded it, and pushed 268 charges through live merchant checkout pages between 31 Jul to 28 Aug 2026. Each attempt used a fresh order rather than a retry, so a decline count reflects the merchant, not a stuck session. 194 cleared.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
