ChiCha Mastercard Multi-region (BIN 555243) — which merchants passed
Strongest results on Spotify Premium, Netflix, Epic Games Store. Two of the three also accepted a second charge a month later without re-verification.
The first thing to know about 555243 is that it is not an anonymous range. ChiCha issues it in Multi-region and the Mastercard prefix is registered, which is why fewer merchants treat it as high risk.
This is one of the ranges behind ChiCha. That page is where the fees, the verification tier and the rest of the ranges live; this one stays with the 555243 range and what it actually did when we ran charges through it.

Running costs
On a monthly subscription the maths is easy: a Virtual $5-6 once, then a 1.5% top-up fee. It only starts to bite when you fund the card repeatedly. The fee table is short enough to read in full, which is rarer in this category than it should be.
| Card creation fee | Virtual $5-6; Physical $99 |
|---|---|
| Monthly fee | Not disclosed by issuer |
| Top-up fee | 1.5% USDT top-up (TRC20/BSC) |
| FX / conversion fee | 0.5% transaction fee (min $0.3-0.4); cross-border 1%+$0.4 (physical Visa sign) |
| Declined transaction fee | Yes |

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spotify Premium | 38 | 36 | 95% | cleared first time; a second charge a week later also went through |

| Epic Games Store | 24 | 20 | 83% | went through on a fresh card with the issuer's default address |

| Hetzner | 13 | 4 | 31% | AVS mismatch. The ZIP on file did not match the address registered to the card. |
Run from a Multi-region-region account between 25 Jul to 05 Sep 2026, with the billing address set to the issuer default unless noted. Declines were logged with the reason the gateway returned.
Failures we could not fix
Do not expect much luck on StockX. It declined on all four attempts. Hetzner was inconsistent, two passes out of five.
What to change before you retry
- StockX: 0 of 15 cleared. Charges only happen when a bid is accepted, so the balance has to be sitting there before the seller responds. A card that funds on demand is what fails here, not the range.
- Hetzner: 4 of 13 cleared. Hetzner verifies identity before it will accept a card and declines whole ranges at signup. Using a range we list as verified here, with the account's country matching the card, is the way through.
Before you try it
- Set the billing address to exactly what ChiCha generates for Multi-region. Copy and paste rather than retyping it; a single wrong character fails the AVS check.
- Funding is crypto-first. Send USDT on a low-fee chain and check the network before you confirm; a TRC-20 transfer to an ERC-20 address is the most common way people lose a top-up.
- Your tier allows 50 cards. Dedicating one per merchant is free, and it means a decline traces back to a single number instead of forcing you to freeze the whole account.
What the numbers add up to
It is the kind of card you forget about until a checkout fails, and then it is the one that works. If you find a merchant where it behaves differently, tell us and we will add it to the log.
The things people actually ask
What does the 555243 BIN tell a merchant?
In practice the checkout reads ChiCha / Multi-region / Debit and decides. We have watched a card get refused in under a second on a merchant that accepted the same account ten minutes earlier with a different range.
Is 555243 a real card number?
No, and this trips people up. 555243 is a range identifier shared across every card ChiCha issues in Multi-region. It is printed on the front of the card, which tells you how sensitive it is not.
Why would 555243 be declined if the range is fine?
Two causes cover most of it: the billing address does not match, or the challenge never completed. Both look identical on screen, and both are fixable in under a minute.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
That is the normal case. Every Debit card ChiCha issues in Multi-region carries the same six digits. Two people on 555243 can get opposite results at the same checkout, which is why a single review is never conclusive.
Test setup
We bought a ChiCha card, funded it, and pushed 121 charges through live merchant checkout pages between 25 Jul to 05 Sep 2026. Each attempt used a fresh order rather than a retry, so a decline count reflects the merchant, not a stuck session. 87 cleared.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. The BIN itself is taken from the issuer's own published card list. Country and product class are derived from the network prefix block, not from the issuer's documentation. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
