Gamma App Payment Declined? Virtual Card Options That Work
Start with Bybit Card, then Chime, Genome. Both cleared Gamma App on the first attempt in our September run.
Gamma App blocks most mainland-issued cards outright. We pushed 27 virtual cards through its checkout in September and kept the 10 that actually cleared.
Why Gamma App turns your card down
A card picked at random off a marketplace will fail Gamma App roughly half the time. The BIN range matters more than the balance sitting on the card.

The three we would actually use
- Bybit Card: Free to open, no top-up fee to fund. Boring, cheap, and it passed every retry we threw at it.
- Chime is the one we would actually keep. Free up front, no top-up fee on top-ups, and the 3DS flow does not demand a phone number you do not have.
- Genome is not the cheapest on the list, but it was the most consistent across three separate test runs. That counts for more than a dollar of savings.
Paying Gamma App with a virtual card, start to finish
-
1
Open the account
Have an ID ready; all 3 want one before they will issue. The check runs automatically. Set up 2FA while you wait, not once money is on the card.
-
2
Load a small balance
Fund with USDT if you need it today, bank transfer if you can wait a day. One month is plenty to prove the card works.
-
3
Create the card
One account will hold several cards, so give Gamma App its own and leave the rest alone. Cap it near the plan price and lock it to this merchant.
-
4
Enter the details at checkout
There is an address check. Chime issues a US General address. Paste that one, because AVS fails on a single wrong character.
-
5
Clear 3-D Secure
Approve the prompt in the issuer app, then go back and confirm the plan actually shows as active. A subscription can look paid and still be sitting in pending for an hour.
If it still will not go through
Between them these cover almost every failed attempt we have logged.
- Billing address mismatch (Chime issues a US General address). AVS compares what you type against the address on file, and it fails on a single transposed digit. Paste it instead of retyping.
- Monthly cap reached. Cards with a hard monthly limit decline once it is used up, and the message the merchant shows is identical to a fraud block.
- Merchant switched acquirer. When a platform changes processor, ranges that cleared last month start failing with nothing changed on your side. Re-run the card before assuming it is dead.
- Spend limit too tight. If the cap sits below the plan price plus the conversion spread, the authorisation comes back as insufficient rather than blocked.
- Card left frozen from the last test. Issuers sometimes freeze a card after unusual activity and never tell you. Check the app before blaming the merchant.
BIN ranges worth trying on Gamma App
Each range has its own issuer, country and card type. If a merchant blocks one, move to another rather than retrying.
Where these cards are issued
Every range above is tied to an issuing country. When a merchant turns one region away, the same brand frequently issues from a second one — the country pages below collect those.

Questions we get asked
Will a virtual card actually work on Gamma App?
Yes. Of the 27 cards we put at it in September, 10 cleared. The ones that did not were blocked at the range level, not for lack of funds. 58 issuers we track carry a positive flag here.
Why is my normal bank card declined by Gamma App?
Your bank is not rejecting anything. Gamma App uses an overseas acquirer that screens the card's country against your account region up front. The charge is dropped before it reaches your bank, which is why there is no alert to appeal.
Which one is cheapest for Gamma App?
Bybit Card scores highest here at 9.8/10. Past that, the funding route decides it, because a card with free top-ups beats a cheaper signup fee the moment you reload twice.
Can I use a card with no KYC for Gamma App?
None of the 10 cards above skip verification entirely. The lightest are Bybit Card, Chime, Revolut, which ask for an ID but no address proof. That is usually the better trade for a recurring subscription.
What does Gamma App cost in total?
Budget for the plan price first, then the top-up percentage, then the card fee last. Of the 10 cards above, 6 charge nothing to issue.
Do I have to keep the card open between Gamma App renewals?
Only if you want the renewal to clear. Where the issuer allows it, freeze the card rather than closing it, then unfreeze a day before the renewal date. A closed card cannot be brought back.
How we test
27 cards went through a live Gamma App checkout on a real account, and one only counts if the first charge clears and the renewal four weeks later clears too. Cards that pass the trial then fail on renewal get marked down rather than dropped. Fees come from the issuers' own pricing pages, re-checked monthly, and converted at the rate on the verification date when they are not in USD. The full protocol, including how we log declines, is on the methodology page.
