Best Singapore virtual credit cards for international shopping

The table below is the short version of our September pass: 10 Singapore issuers, real fee rows, and the decline notes we could not fix. 22 ranges back these entries.

The rating column blends fees, test reliability and verification friction. A card one point lower that skips the verification you hate is usually the better pick in practice.
Quick verdict

Halocard is the default pick: about $3 to create, a 1% top-up, ID + proof at signup. Both crypto and bank funding work, so you are not stuck with one deposit channel. Wise is the fallback if a merchant blocks the first range (free to create).

Methodology: 4,929 live checkout attempts were run against these ranges in September 2026. The order below comes from that test data.

Filling the billing address (AVS)

The local mechanics that matter

MAS supervision keeps Singapore issuers conservative on verification and reliable once the card is open. For Asia-Pacific merchants a SG range often clears where a US-issued one gets region-blocked.

Most Singapore ranges settle in SGD. Paying US-priced subscriptions adds conversion on every charge, which is the quiet cost that decides whether the card stays cheap after month three.

22 of our 323 tracked ranges are Singapore-issued; the cards behind them run mostly on 6 Visa, 4 Mastercard.

Where these cards clear checkouts

Checkouts where at least one Singapore-issued card carries a positive flag in our tests. The count is the same hit set the checkout guides use, so the numbers match both sides:

Each range has its own page with test counts and decline reasons. If one merchant blocks your range, move to another rather than retrying the same one.

What changed in the September 2026 pass

This guide is rebuilt from live test runs, so the numbers move when a range starts declining or an issuer changes its pricing. The review log reflects the current pass:

Questions we get asked

Halocard is the strongest all-rounder among the 10 Singapore-issued cards we track, at 8.6 out of 10. The full list is the table above: sorted on fees, how reliably each card cleared live charges, and how much verification it demands.

1 of the 10 cards lets you set your own billing address: Halocard. The rest generate one for you, which is fine for AVS as long as you paste it exactly as issued.

Creation fees run from 0 to 3 USD across the table, with a flat 1% top-up on every load. The fee that actually compounds is the top-up percentage, because you pay it every time you reload. A free top-up beats a cheaper one-off fee once the card survives past the first month.

Every card in this table asks for an ID at minimum. That is typical for Singapore-issued products; the verification happens once at signup, not on each charge.
