Best Latin America virtual credit cards for international shopping
6 of the 323 card ranges we track are issued here. We charged every one of them at live checkouts, kept the 6 issuers worth using, and listed what each one costs to run.
Bybit Card is the default pick: free to create, no top-up fee, ID only at signup. Both crypto and bank funding work, so you are not stuck with one deposit channel. Airtm is the fallback if a merchant blocks the first range (free to create).

Methodology: 1,126 live checkout attempts were run against these ranges in September 2026. The order below comes from that test data.
Filling the billing address (AVS)
- None of the 6 cards above let you choose an arbitrary billing address. Each issuer generates one, and the gateway checks your entry against that exact string.
- Paste the address from the issuer dashboard instead of retyping it. AVS compares the street number and the ZIP first, and a transposed digit is the most common reason these ranges fail.
- If a Latin America range is refused, move to another range below rather than retrying the same card. Repeat attempts on one BIN are what trigger issuer-side blocks.
The local mechanics that matter
Gateway treatment varies by country even inside one issuer's range, so a BIN that clears in Mexico can still refuse in Brazil. The range pages below list the country on each BIN.
This is a region page rather than a single country: the issuers here span Mexico, Argentina and Colombia, and they share one trait. Local-currency funding, dollar settlement for international billing.
6 of our 323 tracked ranges are Latin America-issued; the cards behind them run mostly on 5 Visa, 1 Mastercard.
What to know before you pick
- If Bybit Card gets refused somewhere, Airtm is the fallback. It is free to open and asks for ID + proof at signup, so the two cover different risk appetites.
- Bybit Card charges the steepest conversion on this table at 1%. Bill in the card's own currency where the merchant allows it.
Where these cards clear checkouts
Checkouts where at least one Latin America-issued card carries a positive flag in our tests. The count is the same hit set the checkout guides use, so the numbers match both sides:

Each range has its own page with test counts and decline reasons. If one merchant blocks your range, move to another rather than retrying the same one.

What changed in the September 2026 pass
This guide is rebuilt from live test runs, so the numbers move when a range starts declining or an issuer changes its pricing. The review log reflects the current pass:
- 6 Latin America ranges tracked, 1,126 checkout attempts logged in this pass.
- No products were retired from this table this pass.
- Ranked issuers: 6.
Questions we get asked
Bybit Card is the strongest all-rounder among the 6 Latin America-issued cards we track, at 9.5 out of 10. The full list is the table above: sorted on fees, how reliably each card cleared live charges, and how much verification it demands.
None of the 6 cards let you pick an arbitrary address. Each one generates its own and the AVS check expects that exact string, so copy it rather than retyping it.
Creation sits at about 0 USD on this table; the recurring cost sits in the top-up percentage, which the issuers list on their own pricing pages. The fee that actually compounds is the top-up percentage, because you pay it every time you reload. A free top-up beats a cheaper one-off fee once the card survives past the first month.
None of the 6 cards above skip verification entirely. The lightest are Bybit Card, which ask for an ID and stop there.
