Best France virtual credit cards for international shopping
The table below is the short version of our October pass: 4 France issuers, real fee rows, and the decline notes we could not fix. 4 ranges back these entries.
Sogexia is the default pick: about $10.791 to create, a 2.5% top-up, ID + proof at signup. Transcash Mastercard is the fallback if a merchant blocks the first range (about $10.791 to create).

Methodology: 573 live checkout attempts were run against these ranges in October 2026. The order below comes from that test data.
Filling the billing address (AVS)
- None of the 4 cards above let you choose an arbitrary billing address. Each issuer generates one, and the gateway checks your entry against that exact string.
- Paste the address from the issuer dashboard instead of retyping it. AVS compares the street number and the ZIP first, and a transposed digit is the most common reason these ranges fail.
- If a France range is refused, move to another range below rather than retrying the same card. Repeat attempts on one BIN are what trigger issuer-side blocks.
The practical picture
A French range settles in euros, so the conversion column reads zero for most purchases inside the eurozone and only bites on dollar billing. Bitstack caps its free conversion at EUR 1,000 a month and Sogexia charges close to 2.95% outside the euro, so a US subscription is where the cost actually lands.
Two different products share the French list. Deblock and Bitstack are app-first cards with free issuance and a euro conversion margin that disappears below a monthly ceiling, while Sogexia and Transcash are prepaid packs you buy off the shelf. The prepaid ones charge on every load, so they only win if you fund once and spend slowly.
4 of our 423 tracked ranges are France-issued; the cards behind them run mostly on 2 Mastercard, 2 Visa.
How these ranges behave
- If Sogexia gets refused somewhere, Transcash Mastercard is the fallback. It is about $10.791 to open and asks for No KYC at signup, so the two cover different risk appetites.
- Transcash Mastercard carries a 1-dollar monthly fee, which flips the math if the card sits idle between purchases.
Where these cards clear checkouts
Checkouts where at least one France-issued card carries a positive flag in our tests. The count is the same hit set the checkout guides use, so the numbers match both sides:

Each range has its own page with test counts and decline reasons. If one merchant blocks your range, move to another rather than retrying the same one.

What changed in the October 2026 pass
This guide is rebuilt from live test runs, so the numbers move when a range starts declining or an issuer changes its pricing. The review log reflects the current pass:
- 4 France ranges tracked, 573 checkout attempts logged in this pass.
- No products were retired from this table this pass.
- Ranked issuers: 4.
Questions we get asked
Sogexia is the strongest all-rounder among the 4 France-issued cards we track, at 7.7 out of 10. The full list is the table above: sorted on fees, how reliably each card cleared live charges, and how much verification it demands.
None of the 4 cards let you pick an arbitrary address. Each one generates its own and the AVS check expects that exact string, so copy it rather than retyping it.
Creation fees run from 0 to 11 USD across the table, with a flat 2.5% top-up on every load. The fee that actually compounds is the top-up percentage, because you pay it every time you reload. A free top-up beats a cheaper one-off fee once the card survives past the first month.
1 of the 4 cards above is listed as No KYC: Transcash Mastercard. They work, but they decline more often and their fees run worse than an issuer that takes an ID.
