Why ad platforms decline virtual cards
Ad platforms run stricter billing checks than most stores: strong customer authentication, address verification, and range-level blocks on known virtual-card bins. A card that clears a shop can still fail here.
It is rarely about funds
When a card is declined on an ad platform, it is usually blocked at the range or issuer level, not for lack of balance. That is why the card you pick matters more than how much you load.
Reddit Ads: what cleared
We re-tested 13 cards against Reddit Ads billing in September 2026. dash.fi, VCard and Halocard led because they cleared the platform. Subreddit "best card" picks vary and are untested, so we trust the cards we actually ran through checkout.

How to get a card that clears
Open the account with the issuer directly, not a third-party broker. Copy the exact billing address the issuer generates into checkout so the AVS check matches, and approve the in-app OTP. Light KYC (ID only) is enough on several issuers we track.
