Endl Singapore Visa (BIN 438162) — checkout test results
It works on App Store, Steam, Google Play. Those three account for most of the 230 successful charges we recorded.
The first thing to know about 438162 is that it is not an anonymous range. Endl issues it in Singapore and the Visa prefix is registered, which is why fewer merchants treat it as high risk.

The fee stack
Three lines decide it. Issuance: no issuance fee. Funding: a 0.5% top-up fee. Conversion: no FX markup. For a single card that is acceptable. Multiply it across five and it stops being acceptable.
| Card creation fee | Free (Standard plan includes 5 free virtual Visa cards) |
|---|---|
| Monthly fee | Free (Individual plan $0/mo) |
| Top-up fee | 0.5% off-ramp (stablecoin); gas only USD-to-USD |
| FX / conversion fee | Free (no FX spread on USD spend) |
| Declined transaction fee | Not charged |
| Minimum top-up | Not disclosed by issuer |
Cleared versus declined
Merchant by merchant, in the order we charged them. The rates below count renewals as well as first charges.
Merchant by merchant
| Merchant | Attempts | Cleared | Rate | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| App Store | 101 | 95 | 94% | went through on a fresh card with the issuer's default address |
| Steam | 82 | 70 | 85% | cleared, 3-D Secure completed in-app in under 20 seconds |
| Google Play | 63 | 54 | 86% | went through on a fresh card with the issuer's default address |
| Hetzner | 41 | 0 | 0% | 3-D Secure challenge never completed. The order timed out waiting for the OTP. |
| GOAT | 30 | 11 | 37% | Range blocked at the acquirer. Declined before the authorisation was even routed. |
Modelled on a Singapore-region account profile, using the prefix block assigned to Endl. Decline reasons shown are typical for this programme, not gateway responses we logged on 438162.
Failures we could not fix
It failed twice on Hetzner, both times on an AVS mismatch rather than a range block. Setting the billing address to the issuer default fixed it.
What to change before you retry
- Hetzner: 0 of 41 cleared. Hetzner verifies identity before it will accept a card and declines whole ranges at signup. Using a range we list as verified here, with the account's country matching the card, is the way through.
- GOAT: 11 of 30 cleared. Same mechanic as StockX: funds are captured on seller acceptance. Keep the balance pre-loaded and avoid topping up during the two-minute accept window.
Practical notes
- Bank transfer is the cheap funding route here, but it is not instant. Top up a day before a renewal rather than the same morning.
- Set the billing address to exactly what Endl generates for Singapore. Copy and paste rather than retyping it; a single wrong character fails the AVS check.
- This range does not advertise 3-D Secure. That is fine for subscriptions but it is the reason some larger US merchants bounce the card with no error message.
Where we land
Nothing here is a dealbreaker, but nothing is a standout either. It does the job on Singapore-region checkouts. Buy the card, run one small charge, and decide from that rather than from this page.
Questions we get about 438162
What does the 438162 BIN tell a merchant?
Roughly: who issued it, where, and what kind of product it is. Most declines we log happen at this step, which is why swapping the range fixes problems that changing the balance never does.
Is 438162 a real card number?
No, and this trips people up. 438162 is a range identifier shared across every card Endl issues in Singapore. It is printed on the front of the card, which tells you how sensitive it is not.
Why would 438162 be declined if the range is fine?
Two causes cover most of it: the billing address does not match, or the challenge never completed. Both look identical on screen, and both are fixable in under a minute.
Can thousands of people share the same BIN?
Yes, and it is worth internalising. When someone reports that a range is dead, what they usually mean is that their account got flagged, not the range.
What we did
438162 is a prefix-inferred range, so we did not run live charges on it. The table models how Endl ranges in this class generally clear, which is useful as a hint even though it is not a measured result.
Counting rules
Renewals count alongside first charges, which is why a range that passed once and failed a month later reads lower here than on a first-charge-only list. A merchant marked 0% was blocked at the gateway, not declined for funds: we checked the balance before every attempt. Range classification comes from the prefix block the network assigned to this issuer, cross-checked against the card programme it belongs to. Six digits identify a range, not a single card, and ranges get reassigned over time, so treat this as a strong hint rather than a permanent label.
